Good work.
Clear terms.
Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how Sage Design Lab provides design services. The written quotation identifies the contracting business, its address and contact details. Questions or complaints can be sent to +254 728 958 928.
1. From estimate to agreement
Browsing designs, calculating an estimate, submitting a brief or opening a WhatsApp chat does not place an order. Gallery images are fictional examples, not promises of identical output or exclusive templates.
Before work starts, we will provide a written quotation covering the brief, page or slide count, deliverables, revisions, total price, applicable taxes, payment schedule, delivery date and any third-party assets or tools. You can correct errors, ask questions, accept or decline. A project begins only after both parties confirm the agreement and any agreed deposit is received. We provide a written copy you can keep.
The agreed quotation takes priority on project-specific details. It cannot remove mandatory legal rights. Orders must be placed by someone aged 18 or over with authority to commission the work.
2. Prices and payment
Estimates are in Kenyan shillings and cover design, with optional extras shown separately. Company profiles are Ksh 749 per page, including covers, with a two-page minimum. Social designs start at Ksh 199 for the first slide; slides 2–5 cost Ksh 174 each and slide 6 onward Ksh 149 each in the same order and visual direction. Returning clients receive 10% off social design after bundle savings, subject to confirmation of earlier work; extras are excluded.
We confirm taxes and the final total before acceptance. No tax is implied by an arbitrary percentage added to the estimate. Printing, paid assets and additional work require a separate agreed charge. Changes affecting price or delivery need written approval before we proceed.
Accepted methods: M-Pesa through Paystack, bank transfer, and stablecoins by prior agreement. We provide verified payment details with the final quotation or invoice. The business WhatsApp number is a contact number and is not, by itself, an instruction to send money. For an eligible optional booking deposit, the website can ask Paystack to send an M-Pesa prompt and records payment only after Paystack verifies it. The website does not connect a cryptocurrency wallet.
For a stablecoin payment, both parties must confirm the token, blockchain network, recipient address, Ksh conversion rate, exact token amount, quote expiry, transfer fees and receipt requirements before sending. USDT, USDC or another stablecoin may be agreed; no token or network is automatically supported. We accept payment for our own design work and do not offer exchange, custody or investment services. Availability is subject to applicable law and provider requirements.
Transfers can be difficult to reverse and stablecoins can change value. If a refund is due, we agree its currency, rate and route in writing without reducing your statutory entitlement. We never ask for your PIN, private key or recovery phrase.
Optional booking deposit
After discussing and confirming the scope of a project estimated above Ksh 3,000, Sage may send a secure Paystack link for an optional Ksh 1,000 booking deposit. No payment is required to make an enquiry. It is optional, credited in full toward the final agreed project bill and refundable on request. It is not an additional consultation charge. Community Editions applications do not require a deposit.
When you choose to pay, Sage sends the amount, currency, email address and M-Pesa phone number to Paystack, which sends the payment prompt. Enter your M-Pesa PIN only in the prompt on your phone, never on this website or in a message to Sage. A page message or screenshot is not proof of payment: the deposit is marked paid only after a signed Paystack notification or server-side Paystack verification matches the Ksh 1,000 amount, KES currency, unique reference and enquiry. Paying alone does not confirm a delivery slot or authorise work.
To request a refund, use the confirmation screen or email admin@sagedesigns.co.ke with your enquiry reference. Sage reviews the request and, once approved, submits the refund through Paystack. Paystack may mark a refund pending, processing, needing attention, failed or processed; a processed refund can still take additional time to reach the payer. The Ksh 1,000 booking deposit remains refundable, subject only to confirming the original transaction and refund destination. Any separately approved work and charges are handled under the project agreement. This policy does not reduce statutory rights.
Sage Community Editions
The first intake is intended for 2–3 selected Kenyan charities, NGOs and community initiatives. Application is free and does not guarantee selection. We agree the scope and whether the project is free or discounted in writing before work starts.
The partner must be authorised to grant written portfolio and promotional display rights for the agreed final work, organisation name and case-study story. This is a display licence, not a transfer of the partner’s underlying content ownership. Any third-party asset restrictions and permitted channels are recorded in the agreement. Confidential source material and identifiable beneficiary information are excluded unless separately and lawfully authorised.
We request an honest testimonial after delivery. Selection, fees and project delivery are not conditional on praise or a positive rating. Any published testimonial from a supported project will disclose that the project was free or discounted, and will be approved by its author.
Website launch package
Website creation starts at Ksh 6,999, including responsive UI/UX design and development, two revision rounds before launch, and free hosting and maintenance for the first three months from the agreed launch date. This is a starting price, not a per-page rate or an offer of every feature shown in a concept image. Your written quote specifies the included pages, functionality and delivery schedule.
All new website packages include Website Care from month four, starting at US$20 per month for the standard small-business scope. The exact monthly package, Ksh billing amount or agreed currency-conversion basis, applicable taxes and billing date are confirmed in your written quotation before you accept the project. This recurring fee is separate from the setup cost; enquiries do not authorise a charge.
The starting package includes hosting, SSL management, routine security and compatibility checks, basic SEO and performance checks, two small content updates totalling up to 30 minutes each month, one quarterly check-in and weekday support. Content updates use supplied, approved text and images. Unused update time does not roll over. Basic SEO means checking existing pages and making small agreed on-page corrections; content campaigns, extensive keyword research, new service pages and ranking guarantees are not included.
New pages or features, major redesigns, domain registration, business email, paid third-party tools and complex commerce or booking support need separate quotations. Maintenance reduces avoidable problems but is not a promise of uninterrupted service or compatibility with every future platform. We explain material issues and agree any additional work before charging.
Care is billed month to month unless another schedule is agreed in writing. To stop, notify Sage before the next renewal date and agree handover or alternative hosting before the current paid period ends. There is no automatic charge without a separately authorised billing arrangement. Any platform restrictions, source handover and client editing access are recorded in the project agreement. Client access can coexist with a care plan; structural changes or third-party additions may need a scope review. Existing signed client agreements are not changed by this published offer.
3. Delivery and revisions
Turnaround runs from receipt of the agreed content, approvals and any required deposit. Two consolidated revision rounds within the original brief are included unless your quotation specifies otherwise. A new concept, added pages, extra formats or a changed brief may need a revised quote. Urgent work is subject to confirmed availability.
Review spelling, figures, names, contact details, dimensions and image permissions before approving the final proof. We will correct our own errors; approval does not remove rights relating to defective services. Screen colours can differ from printed colours. Printing and physical delivery are included only when expressly agreed.
If a delay arises, we will explain it and agree a revised delivery plan or appropriate remedy. We do not guarantee business sales, engagement or election outcomes.
4. Your content and the final design
You retain rights in your supplied materials and give us permission to use them only to complete the agreed project. You must have the necessary rights and permissions for text, logos, portraits and other supplied assets. We may request evidence and decline infringing, deceptive, defamatory or unlawful content, including hate speech or incitement.
Rights in original commissioned work follow Kenyan copyright law and the written project agreement. Any different ownership arrangement must be expressly agreed in writing. Fonts, stock images, Canva elements, pre-existing templates and other third-party assets remain subject to their own licences; commissioning a design does not transfer ownership of those assets. We explain material licence restrictions before using them. Editable files are included only where agreed and legally transferable.
Campaign design is subject to lawful content, the client’s authorisation and applicable election and publication requirements. A design order does not include voter-data processing, political canvassing or distribution unless separately assessed and lawfully agreed.
5. Confidentiality is part of the service.
Company or private content entrusted to Sage Design Lab for production will be safeguarded and will not be disclosed to a third party without your prior written authorisation, except where required by law. We will not use your content in our portfolio, other clients’ work, advertising or public AI tools without separate permission.
The Privacy Policy explains authorised tools, secure handling, retention and your rights. A project instruction is not blanket consent to share confidential content. A separate NDA can be agreed before you send sensitive material.
6. Cancellation, refunds and problems
Contact us promptly if you need to cancel. Before work starts, payments for unperformed work are refundable, subject only to any lawful, specifically authorised non-recoverable cost. After work starts, we will provide an itemised account of work completed and approved non-recoverable costs, and return the unearned balance. We do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule.
If we cannot fulfil the agreement, we will discuss an appropriate remedy, including refunding unperformed work. These arrangements do not override statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights, including rights arising from failures in required disclosures or written agreements.
Raise a concern on +254 728 958 928 with your project reference. We aim to acknowledge it within two working days and agree a resolution promptly. You remain free to approach a competent regulator or court; informal discussions are not a precondition.
7. Kenyan law and changes
Kenyan law governs the agreement, without excluding mandatory protections that apply to you elsewhere. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Disputes may be brought before a court with jurisdiction; there is no compulsory arbitration clause.
Updates apply to future orders. Existing projects keep their agreed terms unless a lawful change is expressly agreed.
