THE SHORT ANSWER
Sage’s slide design starts at Ksh 199 for the first slide. Slides two to five are Ksh 174 each, and slides six onward are Ksh 149 each. Returning clients receive 10% off slide design after the bundle rates. Copy, scheduling, advertising and other additions are separate scope questions.
How the bundle prices work
| Slides | New-client base design | Returning-client base design |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ksh 199 | Ksh 179.1 |
| 3 | Ksh 547 | Ksh 492.3 |
| 5 | Ksh 895 | Ksh 805.5 |
| 10 | Ksh 1,640 | Ksh 1,476 |
The tiers apply to the slides in that band. Ordering six slides does not reprice the first five at the lowest rate. The returning-client reduction applies to slide design after those volume savings, rather than to unrelated additions.
These are Sage’s advertised design rates, not a claim about what all Kenyan designers charge. Confirm the content, format and delivery date before booking.
How many slides should you use?
Use the fewest that explain the idea properly. For an introduction to a service, a possible sequence is the customer problem, the offer, how it works, useful proof and a next step. That is one planning option, not a rule that every carousel needs five slides.
Write a one-line purpose for each proposed slide before designing. If two lines do the same job, combine them. If a slide needs several paragraphs to be understood, decide whether it belongs in an article or a separate post instead.
Keep one clear action for the reader. Sending a message, visiting a service page and booking an appointment are different actions. Choose the one that fits the post rather than add every contact option to every slide.
What should the design brief include?
Share the platform and placement, approved text, brand assets, audience, preferred sequence and the date you need the files. Give the exact offer conditions, price and contact destination if the post promotes a service.
A feed post, story and paid placement can need different layouts. Agree the required versions rather than assume one square export will suit every placement. Check the current platform specifications when preparing the final files.
If you want copywriting, posting, account management or paid advertising, ask for those explicitly. Ordering a set of graphics does not by itself include access to or management of your social account.
Build consistency without making every post identical
Keep the recognisable parts of the brand: type, colour, spacing and how key information is presented. Vary the structure when the message needs it. A customer story should not be forced into the layout of a price list.
A continuing design relationship helps here. Keep a shared record of approved wording, offers, recurring formats and what has changed. The next brief can then focus on the new message.
For a business serving several audiences, label which group each post is meant to help. That is a content decision, not permission to invent claims or use customer images without approval.
Review the post as a customer would see it
Open the exported slides on a phone in the intended order. Check whether the first slide explains why someone should keep reading, whether text is comfortable at normal size and whether the final action is clear.
Verify links and offer dates in the caption as well as the images. Provide useful alt text or image descriptions through the platform’s publishing tools where supported. A graphic containing text should not be the only place a customer can find important conditions.
After publication, distinguish reach, saves, link visits and qualified enquiries. More views do not automatically mean more orders. Use what people actually ask to improve the next batch.
A few more questions
Is a ten-slide carousel Ksh 149 for every slide?
No. The first slide is Ksh 199, the next four are Ksh 174 each and the remaining five are Ksh 149 each, making Ksh 1,640 before extras or a returning-client discount.
Do returning clients receive a discount as well as bundle savings?
Yes. The 10% returning-client reduction applies to slide design after the marginal bundle tiers. The final estimate shows the calculation.
